WINTER WONDERLAND 2011 by BillReinhold WINTER WONDERLAND 2011 by BillReinhold
WINTER WONDERLAND! 2-2-11

The Chicago area as much of the country got hit by a blizzard the night of Feb. 1. We got nearly 2 feet of snow quickly overnight.

I enjoy this style houses.very natural and aesthetic.houses in my city...not aesthetic.such as a match box.cultural difference.encountered bad things here(my country):
inadequate subway,
not aesthetic ,soulless and boring buildings,
irregular urbanization,
traffic sucks...annoying big cities.
I'm lucky though.I could live a more miserable cities.

It took me from 9:30a.m until 5:30 pm just to finish shoveling. And I only live a town away from you. Wish I had some of those industrious types lurking around my house looking to make a buck.

Bummer! All that wind made it worse with the drifts.
Yeah that was nice havin' those guys come by. If we had gotten up earlier we would have missed them.

I bet you do! Fortunately this is not very usual for us. I know in the UP of Michigan it's more common.
We definitely get plenty of cold too in the Chicago area.

That's more than two feet there Bill. More like 3 feet. Our balcony looks like that but luckily I don't have to shovel or snow plow it. :-)

Well, that with the nice topping we put on it. Could be worse. Could be 1967!
And fortunately us freelance types can stay home :-)

Holy Great Mackerel in the sky. That looks back-breaking. Up here in Green Bay we got about 6 inches. I suppose I should count myself lucky. :dance:

Yeah, the further south the worse it was. Chicago got the lake effect on top.
